Coventry Beer Festival 2018 March 2nd & 3rd
The March date is a change to the more usual date in April. The festival has had to be brought forward in order to avoid a clash with CAMRA’s national AGM and Members’ Weekend to be held in April this year at the University of Warwick
This year's festival will feature 75 real ales with a key cask stand appearing for the first time. All the draught beers for sale will be made from natural ingredients with no artificial additives and some will be vegan-friendly. Coventry brewers Twisted Barrel will be supplying four beers from their portfolio, exact details are not available yet but there will be a lager style among them. They, along with other local breweries Dhillons, Byatts and Church End, will be featured in the stillage and, as well as beers from Peterborough and Leicester, there will be many beers from the North East, the Edinburgh area, the South West, Kent, Surrey and Sussex. Many tiny and/or new breweries, some being nano-breweries (i.e. very small breweries!) set up at the back of pubs, will be available for the first time in Coventry and a huge range of different styles will be on offer, ranging from cinnamon stouts to saisons and strong IPAs to cherry mild. A variety of farmhouse ciders, perries, and fruit wines will be available.
